"Program safari": Liberia 🧭🤠
MAF operates in 2️⃣9️⃣ countries. Every country has an unicue culture, history, geography, opportunities and challenges but their communities have especially one thing in common: they are cut-off from basic needs like health, peace, life, education or even hope for a better future.
Liberia is a culturally diverse West African nation with 16 officially recognised indigenous ethnic groups and 27 indigenous languages, alongside English as the official language. Much of the population lives in and around Monrovia, while remote communities in the interior and south-east often have limited access to services and reliable transport. Liberia ranks 177th of 193 countries on the UN Human Development Index (2025).
MAF began serving Liberia in 2015. Despite progress in some urban areas, poverty and poor road infrastructure continue to keep people in rural areas stuck. There is a saying that everyone who visit or live in Liberia will sooner or later have a dramatic "car situation". MAF makes access to health care, clean water, education, relief and hope possbile to the cut-off commnities.
