📈Flight report for YESU - February to May 2026

Dear business partner, thank you so much for supporting the operations of YESU in South Sudan. During this period, we experienced some issues with our database, but we have now finalized a delayed report for the period.

Without your outstanding operational support, it would not be possible for YESU to function, deploy aid personnel, and serve the people of South Sudan during a critical time for the country.

"Program safari": Chad 🧭🤠

MAF operates in 2️⃣9️⃣ countries. Every country has an unicue culture, history, geography, opportunities and challenges but their communities have especially one thing in common: they are cut-off from basic needs like health, peace, life, education or even hope for a better future.

Chad is an interesting country with over 200 different ethnic and linguistic groups which is unevenly disributed. The most densely populated part of the country in the southern fifth of its territory, where about half of the nation’s population lives.The country is ranked as the third poorest country in the world on the UN Human Development Index (2019). MAF has been serving Chad since 1966 with aviation services. Although there has been a steady improvement in the general living conditions in the capital and some urban centres, poverty in remote and isolated parts of the country is still high.

MAF fly out doctors, teachers, relief and development workers, mission teams etc. to these remote areas - bringing life to those cut-off communities. Thanks to business partners like you, we can still operate in Chad working and serving together with a goal and belief of a better future for Chad.

Every pilot eployed i MAF International are skilled and very experienced. However, every pilot need to go through intense training and preperations to be ready to fly in MAFs challenging environments. Now, Josef "graduaded" and flew his first solo flight in the Cessna Caravan in PNG. We are so proud of him! Give him a 👏 if you are happy to hear this 🥰✈️

"Program safari": Bougainville 🧭🤠

MAF operates in 2️⃣9️⃣ countries. Every country has a unicue culture, history, geography, opportunities and challenges but their communities have especially one thing in common: they are cut-off from basic needs like health, peace, life, education or even hope for a better future.

One new exciting program that has been kicked off this year is in the Autonomous Region of Bougainville (today connected to Papupa New Guinea). The island is working to be "qualified" and ready to embark on the adventure as an indepenendet country but lack infrastructure which makes development of the region difficult. One project that MAF is helping Bougainville with is installations of high-frequency (HF) radios and solar power systems. Additionnaly, the region was recently hit hard by ⚠️Cyclone Maila which made alot of people cut-off from food and medical supplies due to heavy rains, landslides, flooding and downed trees.

We are grateful to serve this region in crisis but also strategically as an ally empowering them to position and grasp their future opportunities as a country.

Vi blir MAF NORDIC BUSINESS!

Vi er i en spennende integrasjonsprosess i MAF og rigger oss for fremtiden for å bringe håp og hjelp til enda flere avskårede områder. I den forbindelsen så har vi etablert "Nordic Hub" og skal jobbe tett sammen på på business-siden med våre fantastiske bedriftspartnere.

Hva betyr dette for deg? Vi slår sammen våre bedriftnettverk og kan blant annet tilby bedre nettverkingsmuligheter og samkjøre våre eventer. Blant annet så blir vi en fin gjeng som reiser til Papua Ny Guinea fra Norden i en større gruppe med bedriftpartnere også fra andre land. Vi tror dette blir en skikkelig vinn-vinn for alle.

Bjørnar viser oss sitt verksted på MAF sin hovedbase i Kampala (Uganda) og har laget en lur oppgave til plate-ekspertspirene i MAF 🛩🔧🪛 En av utfordringene i Afrika-regionen er mangel på praktisk kompetanse 🧐

Bli med oss til Papua Ny Guinea?🧭⛰️🛩

Nytt år betyr ny studietur med våre fantastiske bedriftpartnere og deg som snuser på partnerskap med oss. Denne gangen skal vi til eksotiske Papua Ny Guinea (!) Dette er et utrolig spennende land med mange utfordringer som MAF har betjent i en årrekke. To av våre piloter er stasjonert her og sørger for at lokalbefolkningen får tilgang til akutt helsehjelp, utdannelse, fredsmekling og mye annet som et samfunn trenger. ➡️03-12 sept ⬅️ er reiseperioden - hold av datoen!

Disse dagene vil du utforske dette vakre landet, besøke basen vår, møte våre piloter, se vårt arbeid og besøke partnere vi jobber med i bushen, oppleve ekte bush og samt nyte gode samtaler og bekjentskaper med andre samfunnsengasjerte bedriftsledere.

Det hender vi får spørsmål om MAFs forhold til FNs bærekraftsmål. Det vi pleier å si er at på en indirekte måte leverer nesten på alle (!) gjennom våre partners arbeid. "Infrastruktur" og "samarbeid" har vi et direkte forhold til, fordi vi bygger landingstriper/flyplasser og jobber i partnerskap med andre organisasjoner i de landene vi operer i 🤝

"Programsafari": Arnhem Land 🧭🤠

Vi i MAF flyr for øyeblikket i 2️⃣9️⃣ land. Hvert land har sin unike kultur, geografi og problemer, men har spesielt et ting til felles: De er avskåret fra omverden og har ikke god tilgang til grunnleggende ting som vi ofte kan ta for gitt. Dette holder samfunn tilbake fordi grunnleggende behov kan fort bli en kjedereaksjon av ulike problemer.

Dagens program i fokus er Arnhem Land som ligger i Australia (!). Her betjener vi aborginerne og har støttet deres utvikling etter koliniseringen i over 5️⃣0️⃣ år. Urbefolkningen er dessverre statistisk sett ‼️35 ganger‼️ mer utsatt for vold i nære relasjoner. En av våre partnerorganisasjoner "Crisis Accomodation Gove" hjelper kvinner og barn ut av ⚠️livstruende famileforhold og kan evakuerer sårbare mennesker fordi MAF er der og kan fly de ut.

På et år blir ca 1️⃣2️⃣ 0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ mennesker betjent gjennom MAF flyginger i Arnhem Land. Alle våre givere og partnere gjør vår operasjon i Arneh Land mulig 🙏
